M.L.E Brown is a novelist & play-wright, painter, photographer, video-maker, and singer.
Born in the Rewa privince of Fiji, she was adopted as a child and raised in Devonport, on the North Shore of Auckland, New Zealand. She was born an I-Taukei Fijian, was raised as an Anglo-Celtic Pakeha New Zealander, and identifies as both.
"My first loves are the written word and drama, but all art is part of the same story. I write fiction and plays, paint in oils, and enjoy landscape photography.
Her other interests include film, languages, international cuisine, upcycling, self-sufficiency, complementary health, and exploring the New Zealand countryside. She is married and currently lives in the country on the coast on the outskirts of Auckland .
